YMMV / FateBlack Reflection

  • Broken Base: On whether the power levels are handled realistically or if the Servants are too nerfed by the Bleach cast.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome:
    • Ichigo vs. Saber. What more is there to say?
      • How about the fact that they get into a Beam-O-War battle; the result is a stalemate.
    • Orihime saving Bazett's life, setting off the first big plot derail in this story.
    • Archer kicking Rukia, Chad and Uryuu's asses at the same time through clever strategy, only retreating because of a Just in Time moment from Rider, Renji, and Hanataro. GAR, indeed.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming:
    • Ichigo's response to Rider's identity, essentially accepting her despite her origins, and giving her a second chance at life with all her new friends. Jerk with a Heart of Gold indeed.
    • Also worth mentioning is Rider's reaction to this moment: her loyalty to him changes from something more akin to an obligation to duty and friendship to true Undying Loyalty.
    • Bazett's reunion with Lancer, especially once they figure out how to communicate without Kirei cottoning on (by using Gaelic, a language he doesn't know).
  • Justified Title: "Witch Hunt: Dawn" shows how eerily similar Rider's past life as Medusa is to Ichigo's current lifestyle as a substitute soul reaper. Ichigo, himself, thinks of it as an allegory of what would happen if his inner hollow took over like Rider's gorgon form because of his constant insistence on handling everything alone. He even compares it to a twisted 'black reflection'.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Caster almost certainly crosses it with her experimentation on hollows. Assasin is notably unnerved by her and her actions, even moreso than in canon.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Caster. Just… Caster. In particular, what she does to hollows. Described in full, horrific detail.
    • Sakura. Pick a scene with her in it, and you will find some lurking there. The latest chapter has a disturbingly lucid moment of horror from her perspective, as well.
