Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Since this show's success, Japan has been one of Cirque's biggest markets beyond North America, eventually getting a resident show (ZED) in 2008.
Recycled Script: The premise and most of the acts; justified in that neither Reinvente or Nouvelle visited Japan. Bear in mind that the company was much smaller in '92 and the all-new Saltimbanco had launched in North America the month before this show opened.
Values Dissonance: Adjusting to the different ways Japanese audiences respond to live performances was a major challenge for the cast of this show.
