• Dancing Bear: Stewie taking Jerry's place during the Roger Rabbit Effect scene in Anchors Aweigh. It's Exactly What It Says on the Tin, and there's really no other reason for it to exist except it could be done.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • At the end of the episode, Peter says to Meg that he will only bully her to "keep up appearances" in front of people and that they will be "secret best friends". After this episode, Peter's bullying towards Meg only gets worse, even when nobody else is around, to the point where an episode in the very next season has him shoot Meg point-blank.
  • This episode's plot is kicked off when Brian accidentally sells Rupert, to which Stewie is understandably upset, calling it a horrible thing to do. A later episode would have Brian accidentally kill Rupert, causing Stewie to declare their friendship over.
• Special Effects Failure: Despite their best efforts. The reflection of Jerry in the above-mentioned Roger Rabbit Effect scene can still be glimpsed in some parts.
