• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • A cutaway features Liza Minnelli talking to a scared-as-hell blue M&M ("Lady, for God's sake, I'm just a hard-shelled chocolate candy! Get help!"). In January 2022, Fox News host Tucker Carlson laments the fact that Mars Incorporated decided to make the M&M characters "less sexy", saying: "They won't be happy until every last cartoon character is deeply unappealing and totally androgynous; until the moment you wouldn't want to have a drink with any one of them."
  • With Brian (a talking dog) gone, the rest of the family get a cat that seems nice at first, but soon turns violent, eventually leading to Peter declaring that he hates "this freakin' cat". A much later episode would have the Griffins adopting another cat that is also a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing, except this cat can also talk.
• Memetic Mutation: A dog sniffing Brian's butt and Brian asking "Do I know you?" was a very popular T-shirt in the 2000s.
