  • His review on Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is possibly the most divisive videos on his channel. People are divided on whether Exo's issues with the game's level design, lack of a save feature, and method to enter the special stage are justified and well-deserved criticisms or a result of him being unwilling to learn from his mistakes and adjust his playstyle. Not helping matters is that it's at points unclear how much of the review is Exo talking about his problems the first time playing and how much is stuff he still believes. It got to the point where Exo removed all his Classic Sonic videos from Summer 2020 to Spring 2021 due to not wanting those videos to be the first impression to new viewers, only relisting the videos upon massive demand.
  • His collaborative review with J's reviews covering Mega Man & Bass has divided viewers as the game is considered controversial amongst Classic Mega Man fans. Are Exo and J correct in that the game's boss and weapons provide more variety and replayability than the other games in the series? Or are they minimizing the issues of the game and demonstrating to how much prior knowledge affects player experience while ironically not giving other games in the series that advantage while acting smug and overly defensive about their enjoyment? Complicating matters is that J has disowned the vast majority of videos he created before the Summer of 2020, with it being unclear how much of the video’s script comes from him.
  • His Ocarina of Time ROR. Are his points on the game's age in terms of the N64 version's visuals and text speed well thought out or a result of him being overly critical and impatient? And amongst those who do agree with his critisisms, there's a divide on whether or not he spent too much time dwelling on it
  • The Remake or Rebreak episode on Banjo-Tooie is one of his most divisive videos. Either you agree with Exo that the game suffers from many issues and should have been designed in a different way when it comes to its gameplay and its structure, or you think he's nitpicking through the entire episode, making mountains out of molehills, while not understanding how the game works at all. There's also a third camp who belives that while his complaints about the original are justified, it was unrealistic for him to expect a remaster to overhaul so much of the level design and mechanics
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In his first Sonic Adventure video, he mentions that he's structuring the review the way he is (one video each for the original games followed by a comparison video for both of the remakes) because he doesn't want the videos to balloon into the 50-minute zone. He has since made multiple feature-length ROR episodes far longer than that, including two Spyro reviews that were over 100 minutes. Exo acknowledges this in the postscript video for the Spyro reviews, calling back to a similar comment he made in one of the Donkey Kong Country reviews, and says that he plans to do separate videos like the Sonic Adventure reviews from now on.
