YMMV / Ed Edd N Eddy S 2 E 14 To Sir With Ed

• Accidental Aesop: If you're going out and hiring a babysitter to take care of your kids, make sure to inform them.
• Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Eddy's parents really not tell him they were going out and had hired Nazz to babysit? Or, they did tell him, but Eddy wasn't paying attention.
• Catharsis Factor: Eddy beating up Edd near the end of the episode is well-deserved in this occasion, considering that he convinced Eddy of Nazz coming over to date him and had a Never My Fault reaction to the whole thing.
• Never Live It Down: Fans hate this episode for Eddy's underserved treatment and Nazz's behavior towards Eddy.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: While it was foolish of Eddy to think that Nazz was dating him, it's hard to not feel bad for him for these reasons.
  • His parents never let him know that Nazz was going to babysit him. Not even Nazz thinks of breaking the news to him.
  • Edd is the one who gives Eddy the idea of Nazz being on a date with him.
  • The kids come into his house courtesy of Nazz despite the fact that she should be babysitting and instead throws a party without his okay.
  • His own stuff is broken because of Ed and yet he's the one blamed for it.
  • His Humiliation Conga of everyone laughing at him for being mistaken, being banned from the party, and having his tongue stuck on the door comes off as unfair and unjustified since he never did anything to warrant it this time.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Every character that isn't Eddy for one reason or another.
  • Eddy's parents think that not warning their son about Nazz babysitting him would be a good idea.
  • Ed destroys Eddy's stuff and is never called out on it and even laughs at Eddy with the kids.
  • Edd is the one to make Eddy believe that Nazz wants to date him and later on partakes in the party with no regrets.
  • The other kids have no problem letting Nazz invite them for a party and all laugh at Eddy over a misunderstanding.
  • Nazz is the biggest example. While she was nice enough to cook for Eddy and look after him, she automatically assumes that Eddy would know she was babysitting him despite him not being informed of this beforehand. The fact that she uses Eddy's house to throw a party and punishes Eddy by sending him to his room makes her look inconsiderate and obnoxious.
