YMMV / DuckTales S1E4 "Where No Duck Has Gone Before"

Go To

  • Harsher in Hindsight: Or hilarious, depending on the viewer. In this episode, Launchpad reminds the triplets and Doofus that movie heroics aren't the same as the real thing. Thirty years later, the reboot version of Launchpad causes mass havoc (and indeed almost gets people killed) because he Cannot Tell Fiction from Reality.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Three with regard to Darkwing Duck.
    • Major Courage briefly calls Launchpad "L.P." During the later show, Darkwing adopts "L.P." as an Affectionate Nickname for Launchpad (probably in response to Launchpad calling him "D.W.")
    • Launchpad is easily able to see through Major Courage's Glad I Thought of It moment when he claims credit for Launchpad's idea of playing sick as a distraction. Darkwing manages to pull this on Launchpad all the time in his series and Launchpad never realizes it.
    • Launchpad says that aliens don't exist just before the Kronk ship appears. In "U.F. Foe", he tells Darkwing and Gosalyn how he met a young alien princess called Tia during his childhood.note
