• Ho Yay: Dave and Bobby kiss each other affectionately during the rave in Glendalough.
• Hollywood Homely: Daniel is meant to look like he's completely destroyed. Ian Lloyd Anderson has some messy hair and a full beard, but he still looks very good for a homeless junkie.
• Iron Woobie: Despite Daniel having been a once-promising graduate who destroyed his life through drugs - and is now homeless and estranged from his family - he's remarkably casual about it. When he learns his mother died on the other hand...
• Tear Jerker:
  • The very intense screaming match between Jason and Daniel. While their brotherly sniping was mostly played for Cringe Comedy in earlier scenes, it becomes utterly tragic as the two lay it all bare.
  • To say nothing of Jason finding Daniel unconscious in a tenement and desperately pleading with him to wake up. Thankfully he does.
