Misplaced, moving to the correct tab

* ObviousBeta: The base game. While it was functional, it was missing features such as Photo mode, weather (although Evo stated it would be released as a patch) and Replay mode. These got into the game as free updates.

* {{Vaporware}}: The ''[=PlayStation=] Plus Edition'' and in-game app. While Evo promised they would get released once servers were more stable, many people were more skeptical about its release, [[SubvertedTrope until it did get released in June 2015]], [[DoubleSubversion but then got pulled from the Store in October of the same year]].

* TierInducedScrappy: The [[Film/JamesBond Aston V12 Vantage]] is classified as a Super, but many believe it should have been a Performance car. The only thing that it has going for is its relatively high top speed; every other stat is pathetically low for Super class standards.
** So does the RUF [=CTR3=] Clubsport on Hyper class.
** So does the Rimac Automobili Concept_One. Classed as a Hyper car, it only maxes out at 311 km/h, despite its superb acceleration. Justified since it is an electric car with insane acceleration but low top speed, a flaw for many electric cars.
** The Nissan Skyline [=GT-R R34=] is classified as a Performance car, but some may argue that it should be reclassed in Sports Car tier due to its ridiculous low power, given that it is a V-Spec trim and has a factory horsepower of a bit over [=300hp=][[note]]In real life, the car's factory power was undisclosed at that time, but [[PowerCreepPowerSeep being labelled as 280hp]] [[LoopholeAbuse in order to pass the Japanese regulations at that time the car was made]].[[/note]]. The only thing that keeps it in Performance class is its extremely tight handling.

Reworked my new addition.

** For a while, it was unwise to mention ''Driveclub'' and ''[[VideoGame/{{Forza}} Forza Horizon 2]]'' in the same sentence in any gaming forum if you didn't want a bloodbath. However, since ''Driveclub'' lost relevance and the ''Forza Horizon'' series has since gone on to become one of the most beloved and critically-acclaimed racing game series of all time, this has become one-sided; some gamers even admit that ''Driveclub''[='=]s lack of name recognition and anything to make it stand out apart from the incredible (for its time) graphics did it in.

* SpiritualAdaptation: Some would say this game is essentially the closest we'll ever get to a (next-gen) ''VideoGame/RidgeRacer'' with licensed vehicles or a ''[[VideoGame/ProjectGothamRacing PGR5]]''. Or perhaps ''VideoGame/BattleGear 5''.

** The ''Bikes'' expansion has been positively compared by many to the bike-based ''VideoGame/GranTurismo'' spinoff ''Tourist Trophy'' - which is a CultClassic not differently from ''Driveclub'', as well as the ''Moto Racer'' and the ''Hang-On'' series.

* SoOkayItsAverage: The game's ultimate legacy; while its graphics and sound design were incredible and it was certainly a competently made racing game, it ultimately had nothing to stand out from the competition. Issues with the online features, AI, and a lack of gameplay variety, along with delays of the [=PlayStation=] Plus Edition's short-lived release, didn't help. Despite the healthy post-release support it got, it ultimately lost attention to the Xbox brand's ''Forza'' series, in particular the ''Forza Horizon'' series, which firmly established what a multiplayer-focused racing game with licensed vehicles ''should'' be.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: ''Driveclub'' is possibly the only other [=PlayStation=] exclusive to match ''VideoGame/{{Wipeout}}'' in terms of awesome music, with a full soundtrack entirely composed by Welsh electronic trio Hybrid. Five original songs and boatloads of remixes by high-profile artists like Noisia, Machinedrum, Clark, Fred V & Grafix, DJ Shadow and Photek make the music truly worthwhile despite being turned off by default in the game. The full soundtrack is available [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVp84QtVnmRN2_Tg6p1O-RdPFWCHMGYb4 here]], and is also available for purchase on [=iTunes=]. * InternetBackdraft: On October 6, 2015, the ''PS Plus Edition'' was pulled off from the PS Store for unknown reasons. Predictably, fans were ''not'' happy.
** The game's fanbase was extremely happy with the support the game was receiving, even after the end of the Season Pass, with incredibly well-priced downloadable content and free racetracks. Unfortunately, come March 22, 2016, with the news that Evolution Studios has been shut down by Sony. All hell broke loose in the fanbase at this announcement.

Cleaning up misuse according to this TRS thread. Fandom Berserk Button is for objective factual errors that annoy fans.

* FandomBerserkButton: Bringing up the game's horrendous launch issues around the game's fans really isn't a good idea.

*** Finally, the Finish Line pack brings in the Koenigsegg Regera, which can be best summed up as a One:1 with less drifty handling and even more explosive acceleration. In the more open tracks such as Sognefjord Raceway, Oliver's Landing, and Lake Shoji, it'll be a common sight to see Regeras at the top of the leaderboards.
