YMMV / Dost Thou Even Steal Hearts?

Go To

  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In Dost Thou Even Steal Hearts, Joker recruited several BNHA characters as part of the Quirk verse branch of the Phantom Thieves, all from varying ages and most of them being adults (La Brava, Mr. Compress, and Gentle to name some of them). Persona 5 Strikers, which gets a global release a year after the story was first published, introduces Zenkichi Hasegawa, who becomes the Token Adult member among the playable thieves. This is later followed by Toshiro Kasukabe in Persona 5 Tactica, who becomes the second Token Adult member among the thieves.
    • In the extras centering where the other thieves ended up after their separation from Joker and Mona, Fox and Queen are shown to be in the Fullmetal Alchemist Universe. In 2022, Persona 5 Royal gets a collaboration with the Fullmetal Alchemist mobile game, with Queen revealed as one of the event limited characters available for the collab.
  • Tear Jerker: Akira's false background having him as Quirkless hits Midoriya hard, as he sees the older boy as a mirror of himself if he hadn't received One For All. And the Phantom Thief later admits to Inko that his parents don't want him, thinking him too bothersome — even at his lowest point, Izuku was comforted by his mother loving him no matter what. But Akira doesn't even have that.
    • Aiba, Tobita, and Hitoshi not believing Akira and Morgana's origins is heartbreaking, especially since Akira visibly struggles to tell the story.
