• Harsher in Hindsight: Sahu died at a young age, but has been stuck in limbo for thousands of years waiting to get into the afterlife. His portrayer, Aram Chowdhury, ended up dying young as well (in a car crash at age 18 in 1994). His mother even later told an interviewer that, because of the eerieness of the situation, she couldn't watch the special anymore.
• Memetic Badass: It's not the most well-known of Sesame Street specials, but those who know of it have given Big Bird this reputation thanks to his actions in it (defeating a demon and calling out an Egyptian god for being unfair).
• Memetic Mutation: A picture of Big Bird staring down Osiris has made the rounds online, usually with a note that the actual context of the picture is Big Bird facing off with the god of the dead.
• Signature Scene: Big Bird calling out Osiris for his judgement on Sahu.
• The Woobie: Sahu has been separated from his family for four thousand years stuck on a riddle that traps him from going into the afterlife. And then Osiris himself bans him after seeing that his heart is so heavy. Thank goodness that Big Bird decides to give Osiris a piece of his mind.
