YMMV / Doctor Who S14 E5 "The Robots of Death"

• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Robot servants turning on their masters sounds like a premise with potential, no? So say we all.
  • The robots' faces look very similar to the ones in Styx's "Mr. Roboto" video.
• Les Yay: Toos seems unusually attached to Leela, to the point that she requested Leela check on her arm again even after a robot offered to take her to Sickbay. Toos then proceeds to have a nice elaborate Security Cling with Leela on her bed, surreptitiously groping her naked thigh.
• Retroactive Recognition: Borg is played by Brian Croucher, a.k.a. Space Commander Travis. The second one.
• Special Effects Failure: In the scene where Taren Capel is giving orders via monitor to a robot. A distortion effect is used to obscure his face as thus not spoil the reveal. However, it's plainly obvious that Dask is the murderer Capel.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: The early CGI used for the eyes of the robots, not to mention the beautiful death-mask-like masks they wear, and the generally really high production values of that serial. It almost looks like a 2000s revival series episode if not for the strictly-70's-TV cinematography.
