• Fan Nickname: Good Lizard Dad for Legate Ghemor.
• Saved by the Fans: The author hesitated to inflict Tekeny his canonical demise and as such asked the readers their opinion on the matter. At least seventeen people voted for his survival, no one against.
• The Woobie: Julian. The sheer amount of crap he's forced to wade through is nothing short of distressing — constantly fearing to be caught and exposed for a fraud and a genetic freak, emotionally abused to the point he's floored by people liking him, and mind-fucked into doubting his own species and identity for two years.
  • Tekeny Ghemor is more of a stoic variant. Dude has lost his wife, is currently wondering if he will ever be reunited with his only child, and has to see his adopted son struggling with racism for something he cannot help while seriously ill himself with a possibly-terminal disease that was only barely caught in time. Yet he keeps a Stiff Upper Lip through all this.
