  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • Shawn Conecone, despite being a minor character, is widely loved due being an Affectionate Parody of Sean Connery who also happens to be incredibly badass. It also helps he's a nice man ready to help people in need and that was the one who saved Kenji and his friends during the fire they were trapped when they were children.
    • Several side characters earn themselves a few fans such as the Mob Father and Son, Shinonome and Fifty-fifty Fujisaki. Oohori and Shinozaki, a pair of boys from Kenji Kazama's class, are quite popular.
    • Kudanshita is pretty popular as well.
  • Fan Nickname: "Pukey" et al for Shinsen, and using Tama's Insistent Terminology with "Tama-chan-sempai".
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • イジメかっ!! — literally "Is this bullying?!?", where various characters (usually girls) are drawn furiously blushing and shivering despite being complimented. Taken from chapter 16, page 18 of the manga, where Chitose inadvertently draws the entire class' attention to Funabori because of all the good things she's been doing without anyone noticing.
    • Tama-chan-sempai kowai.
  • Moe: Funabori. May be a parody. Heck, being a parody of nearly every anime cliche you can think of, you can insert every female character into the list, including Takao.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The image of Chitose where she buried some students in the ground with their heads out isn't a pretty sight. The student's horrid expressions doesn't help either.
  • Signature Scene:
    • For the anime, it is the zipper popping incident by Takao.
    • Kenji, Roka and Hachi circling around, hand-in hand, with Hachi singing 'Love Triangle'.
  • Squick: In the first episode, Ataru trying to catch Chitose's spit in his mouth is as sick as it is hilarious.
