• Captain Obvious Reveal: The overt hints that the Dragons drop during their dialogue, including the fact that they say they have to "stick to the rules" and this will be the "last time" they'll be meeting in this manner, make it clear to a number of viewers that they're the ghosts of murdered children out to avenge their deaths.
• Jerkass Woobie: As cruel as they are to the townsfolk, the Golden Dragons just want their murders to be avenged so they can finally rest in peace. Even they're sick of the cycle, and just barely manage to convince themselves to go through with it. They finally do so at the end and say a solemn goodbye as they return to the cemetery their bodies are buried in.
