• Harsher in Hindsight: This series (which features the release of a deadly virus in one world in the backstory and ends on its release in "our" world) aired not long before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many events thought to be unlikely to happen in the real world have since taken place, such as extensive mask-wearing, a focus on improved sanitation, a reluctance to get too close to others' personal space, and the mass abandonment of the practice of shaking hands.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Richard Schiff and Harry Lloyd both had roles in Counterpart, with Schiff's playing the father-in-law of Lloyd's character. A few years later, both would portray the main villains of two games that competed for Game of the Year in 2022 (Schiff as Odin in God of War Ragnarök, and Lloyd as Z in Xenoblade Chronicles 3).
