- Alternate Character Interpretation: Regarding GingerBright's Adaptational Personality Change: Is her odd behavior a byproduct of having seen too much in the Witch's Castle, or is she inherently a very kooky cookie? Given that she was baked normally, the former is possible. However, it's been clear that the way a cookie is baked can affect their behavior, so the latter is possible.
- Enjoy the Story, Skip the Game: Players have reported the storyline as being one of the greatest aspects of Witch's Castle, especially because it focuses on previously unresolved/untouched elements from OvenBreak while expanding on the lore. The gameplay... leaves a lot to be desired. While the gameplay itself isn't the problem, it's the implementation of several factors (RNG, Microtransactions, and a spotty Gacha system that doesn't do any favors for both F2P and PW2 players) that have caused contention within the community. Thankfully, the March 23 Announcement and the April Update has made ways to alleviate this.
- Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: While not hated in the slightest, GingerBright is regarded by many runners as an average at best, forgettable at worst character who only existed to fufil the girl role in a team. Her Adaptational Personality Change to that of a concerningly cheerful girl gave her newer fans.
