YMMV / Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories

  • Narm: While the female protagonist's name is considered acceptable (Maya), more than a few fans have found amusement with the male protagonist's (Mario). While the name isn't too unreasonable by Code Geass standards, him sharing a name with a certain Italian plumber gets more than a few laughs from the fans and tends to kill the mood during dramatic moments.
  • Tearjerker: From the first chapter of the game, Hina's death. Just as the protagonist is getting ready to take Hina and her friends to safety, the roof collapses, crushing her. Upon seeing her corpse, the protagonist just breaks down and screams in anguish. Coupled with losing their parents during the initial invasion, it's no wonder this is what leads them to join Lelouch and the Black Knights for revenge.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Happens to the protagonist of all people - while they have been praised for meshing well with the existing cast and having a compelling story of their own and even expanding on existing characters with their interactions, one of the biggest complaints is that Disel simply does not cause any major changes from canon, with the entire first season of Code Geass happening practically unmolested. After how Lost Colors allowed players to prevent the SAZ Massacre in two of its endings, players being forced to follow The Stations of the Canon is quite a let down.
