- Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Waylon really an idiot, or is he just pretending to be one? His stories sound obviously made up, and he proves to have a terrible aim during the intro. However, that's only in front of Jo. He seems to have an at least decent aim while training Cordie. Furthermore, when Jo is explaining to Cordie that whoever shot the previous sheriff was never found, Waylon gives a suspicious smile to the camera.
- Ass Pull: The way Waylon stops Death Itself is by making it the sheriff. A newspaper just moments after that acknowledges how much of a Deus ex Machina the moment is.
- Awesome Music: Yannis' theme. It's a fast paced electronic piece that gives a "indie game boss fight" vibe. It's even got an extended version
on Liam's channel. - Creepy Cute: Cordie can be rather cute for a humanoid spider monster, and her pupils turn into hearts when around Waylon. However close up shots on her smiling will emphasize the creepy part of this trope. Her overly wide mouth full of sharp teeth with a tendency to drool, and those pupils even when shaped like hearts still roil about like burning coals.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Many people in the pilot's comments express a great amount of adoration for Cordie.
- Just Here for Godzilla: Cordie is easily the most popular character, and it's not uncommon to see viewers say that they didn't really like Jo and Waylon, but loved Cordie.
