• Fanon Discontinuity: Some Phoebe and Cole shippers will choose to ignore the final few seconds of this episode, allowing the couple to get their happily ever after.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Cole is tricked by the Seer into becoming the new Source, manipulated by "it's the only chance to save your love". Everything that happens afterwards is what leads to the end of Phoebe and Cole's relationship, meaning their final scene as a happy couple is the one where he gives her the ring.
• Narm: The episode has a weird habit of using Description Cuts and Answer Cuts better used for comedic effect in scenes that are meant to be serious.
• Narm Charm: The Guardians of the Hollow are an angel and devil dressed as stereotypically as you might expect, and it would be ridiculous in any other show.
