- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Sometimes, when you leave Dinah Saur's Natural History Museum after completing a puzzle, a velociraptor skeleton will emerge from a display case, get up on the railing, and leap at the proverbial camera while roaring just as the player teleports away. While paranormal beings and robots have appeared in the franchise many times over the years (including Math Detective), the skeleton is never revealed to be either of those.
- Unintentional Period Piece:
- One of the missing landmarks is Malaysia's Petronas Towers, which the game identifies as the world's tallest buildings. They were... from 1998 to 2004. (They are still the tallest twin buildings, though.)
- Abner Cadabra's magic shop is located in Calcutta, India. The city changed its name to Kolkata in 2001.
