  • Xander dresses as a pirate. Xander's first line after he loses his eye mentions that pirate costume.
  • Anya nearly tells Dawn about a sex game, before Tara interrupts. Michelle Trachtenberg's mother later came out to speak about how disturbed she was about the inappropriate language used on set around her teenage daughter.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Xander says "I'm going to marry that girl", referring to Anya but Buffy thinks he's talking about Dawn. In the comics, Xander and Dawn realize they are in love with each other and attempt to settle down into a blissful domestic partnership, ultimately marrying.
• Retroactive Recognition: A young Amber Tamblyn plays Dawn's friend Justine.
