• Anvilicious: The unsubtle drugs = magic metaphor ramps up here, and has caused fans to rank this with "Beer Bad" as one of the least-favoured episodes. It feels at times like they literally just wrote a story about drugs, then ran a search and replace to make it about magic instead.
• She Really Can Act: Even those who didn't like the magic addiction arc will admit that Alyson Hannigan acts the hell out of Willow's breakdown.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Dawn makes peanut butter pancakes but then decides she doesn't like them. According to the DVD commentaries in Ice Princess, Michelle Trachtenberg's character hates peanut butter.
