YMMV / Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1E6 "The Pack"

• Angst? What Angst?: Buffy tells Willow that it's been quite a while since she's been feeling "tingly in the head" over a boy. During this conversation she sounds like it's been at least months, and she doesn't show the slightest bit of wistfulness about how her last crush on a guy ended. Remember, she got all weak in the knees over Owen, and then had to let him go because of her "job", just last episode.
• Genius Bonus: Buffy says that "Apparently Noah didn't want hyenas on the ark because he thought they were an evil, impure mixture of dogs and cats." Whilst hyenas aren't cats, they're feliforms, more closely related to cats than dogs. Their doggy shape and pack behavior is convergent evolution.
• Padding: Quite a lot of it in this episode, such as Xander and the Pack prowling Sunnydale High's courtyards in Slow Motion, the extended dodgeball game, and a completely extraneous scene in which a woman with a baby happens upon the Pack... only for her to just quickly walk away as they settle back down for a nap.
• Retroactive Recognition: Kyle, leader of the mean kids before they're possessed, is played by Eion Bailey, probably best known to genre fans as August/Pinocchio in Once Upon a Time.
• Squick: Many a fan found this episode creepy, particularly seeing the rape undertones and being disturbed by them.
