- In this story, it's implied that Jewelry Bonney is Akainu's daughter. In One Piece canon, she is actually the daughter of Ginny, a Revolutionary Army commander and a World Noble who had Ginny kidnapped and "married" against her will, and Bonney was raised by her adoptive father Bartholomew Kuma.
- Jerkass Woobie: Sabo punches a guy (Mr. 9) just for claiming he was a king, and very nearly decides to kill Vivi. Given his experiences with nobility and royalty in the past, it's quite understandable, even if the latter can be seen as a dick move.
