YMMV: Breath of Death VII
- Crowning Music of Awesome: The soundtrack is pretty nice all things said, but the battle music stands over the rest. It will pump you full of adrenaline!
- Fridge Logic: It's probably best not to think too much about how a skeleton or a ghost can be poisoned.
- Idiot Plot \ Conflict Ball: Played for laughs. For instance, Erik's uncle tries to usurp the throne and throw Erik in jail. After arresting the party for one reason or the other, Erik joins the cause (after unlocking his cell, as he has the key on him), helps the team blast their way through an intense and difficult dungeon, trash his uncle, only to reveal that he doesn't really want to be king and happily allows his uncle to continue ruling so he can continue adventuring. The peasants don't mind, since his uncle is actually a pretty good ruler.
- That One Boss: The Usurper will destroy the unprepared. To explain, he has the ability to completely heal after a set number of turns, and at 7000 health he can take a lot of punishment from the average party. You have to grind up to around level 24 just to beat him before he heals, or build up a massive combo boost and beat him down right after. He's basically unbeatable if he's not killed before or directly after he heals, thanks to the escalating difficulty.
