- Esoteric Happy Ending: Walter successfully stops her marriage with David and manage to get back together in the end. However, the worst that happened with David was he got humiliated. And considering he's a Stalker with a Crush with violent tendencies, who's to say he won't try and find Nadia again, possibly even kill Walter?
- Harsher in Hindsight: In the trailer for the film, we see Walter in jail making his One Phone Call to Ted, telling him about what happened in his date and ends it with Walter threatening to kill him. 11 years later, Ted's actor, Phil Hartman, is murdered himself.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In the poster of the film, we see Bruce Willis with stained clothes and barefoot. Come a year later, he would play a character who wouldn't be too far off from the poster image.
- Retroactive Recognition:
- Walter's brother, Ted, is played by Phil Hartman, who, at the time of the movie's release, was in his first season as a cast member on Saturday Night Live.
- Babu Bhatt appears as a matire d' at the restaurant Walter and Nadia go to.
