  • Arc Fatigue: A complaint when it comes to his stories, somewhat caused by Schedule Slip. But even then his tales have a habit of just milling around with characters either talking or hanging too long on the battles that it drags the pacing down severely. For the most part, he's usually working with someone else writing the stories while he handles storyboard and artwork. But it still tends to be a major flaw with his works.
  • Audience-Alienating Premise: Let's just say his tendency to invoke Fanservice on explicitly-underaged girls can be a bit of a high bar to clear for some people.
  • Broken Base: How most come to see his works. Some think it's a great style and love seeing established cartoon characters in more anime-like figures plus likewise like seeing them intereacting with each other in a world where copyright isn't a problem. The other half however feel his style is just fan pandering, aren't too keen on his stories being so apathetic (Grim Tales is especially felt as this to some given how utterly bleak it can get) and don't feel very well told given how long it takes for the stories to get anywhere meaningful.
  • Moment of Awesome: Won 2005's Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards for Outstanding Character Art and Outstanding Superhero Comic (Both for PPGD). And it's said that when Cartoon Network's FusionFall was being made, the artists working on the game wanted to hire him! The higher-ups vetoed it for obvious reasons, but it still stands as a testament to the quality of his work.
