• Sampled Up: "Dreamcast" is better known than its source song, "Resistor" by Shinjuku Mad. This example is an interesting one, in that Blank Banshee was himself a member of SM, as was Cormorant, Blank's lyricist and lead vocalist. They've gone so far as to effectively retcon the lyrics and vocals of "Resistor" to be a Blank Banshee original.
  • All of the Shinjuku Mad samples suffer from this to one extent or another. "Negatives" was even removed from SM's self-titled album after being redone as "Gunshots".
  • "Teen Pregnancy" is an interesting case, too – while Degrassi Junior High is far more famous than Blank Banshee, it took a while for people to realize where the song's vocal sample came from.
