• Anvilicious: Andrew's descent into flagrant toxic masculinity is not subtle.
• Crosses the Line Twice: The subplot involving the conjoined brothers/lovers who breakup on their date and decide to get surgery, which ends with one of them dying. The surviving twin then decides he'll need a new "brother" to jerk him off.
• Squick:
  • Nick and Connie wake up spooning each other in the same bed. He's 13 and she's a monster.
  • Conjoined-twin incest is apparently a thing now, as there's an entire section of Valentine's cards dedicated to it.
• Tear Jerker: The only reason the afore-mentioned conjoined twins subplot is as hilariously irreverent as it is is because the drama of it is played totally straight.
• The Woobie:
  • Matthew's angst comes up again this time, since he's the only (openly) gay kid at school on Valentine's Day.
  • Lars gets roughed up by Andrew in a fit of jealousy and paranoia, all because he was being friendly with Missy.
