* RonTheDeathEater: This film's Bruce Wayne has gotten flak for more or less laughing away Ivy's concerns and her demands that Wayne Enterprises stop damaging the environment, even though he was attending a fundraiser for the environment that very night and his biggest problem with what she was demanding was the timescale inferred by her use of the words ''immediately cease''. He is right in saying that with nothing to replace diesel fuel for heat or coolants to preserve food millions would die of cold and hunger, and given her malicious response regarding those deaths it is understandable why he starts to mock her.

* AssPull: The dying Alfred somehow uploads his "brain algorithm" into the Bat Computer to create a simulated version of himself, which he uses to communicate with Barbara and give her the Batgirl suit. It's an absurd concept even for an over-the-top film like this.

* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: The UsefulNotes/PlayStation got a sandbox-style action game developed by Probe and published by Acclaim that was panned for crappy controls; it also featured obviously synthesized renditions of pieces from Elliot Goldenthal's score in the movie. A beat-em-up was also released for the portable Game.Com, and it fared similarly to its 32-bit counterpart with critics.

* CriticalBacklash: More and more people have begun to re-evaluate their view on the film in recent years and see it in a more positive or at least considerably less harsh light, feeling its status as a critical punching bag wasn't entirely deserved and it does have genuinely strong elements. Some also appreciate the more light-hearted approach to the character these days, especially as some later Batman adaptations went [[TooBleakStoppedCaring so far in the opposite direction it sucked any joy out of the story]]. Even those who see it as one of the weakest Batman films have found they can get some enjoyment out of it by embracing the ridiculous parts and not taking it too seriously. At the very least, fans and detractors alike will agree that if nothing else, the film is a memorable experience you won't soon forget.

* FightSceneFailure: Batman uses the [[Franchise/StarWars Force Kick]] technique on one of Mr. Freeze's henchmen in the fight for the Wayne Diamonds. And pretty much many other fight scenes in the movie equal here.

*** It's more accurate to argue that it merely killed Creator/DCComics film adaptations for a while, as Blade, X-Men, and Spider-Man kept Creator/MarvelComics adaptations alive and (mostly) well until the latter struck gold with the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse.

** Whats interesting about the Playstation game, however, is that in many ways its a prototype to the far more successful ''Arkham'' series: an open world sandbox, a 'Detective Mode' used for crime scenes, and even using the Batmobile to travel between locations. The technology just wasn't strong enough to make it all work yet.

General clarification on works content; Batgirl's costume does have subtle nipples as we mentioned under common knowledge

** The Batnipples are this trope's poster child. Some like to jokingly deride the DoubleStandard at play when Batgirl's costume sports none.
