  • Memetic Mutation: Oliver's line to Barry "Do you trust me?" followed by Barry's response "with every cell of my body" became an exploitable image macro.
  • Narm:
    • Oliver's "You have failed this universe!" is pretty cheesy, though of course it may work for some.
    • Also, Barry's admonishment of the other heroes for quipping during combat because "WE'RE FIGHTING FOR OUR LIVES HERE!" is pretty difficult to take seriously given how little threat the Shadow Demons pose. Even Ryan Choi's little punchies disintegrate them in one hit.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Ezra Miller as the DCEU Barry Allen appears in a memorable scene with Grant Gustin.
  • Only the Creator Does It Right: A Meta variation. For Arrow's installment of the crossover, Marc Guggenheim recruited original Crisis scribe Marv Wolfman as this episode's co-writer. Guggenheim admits he was actually nervous about getting to work with one of his creative idols.
  • Shocking Moments: The One-Scene Wonder above pretty much sent fans into a frenzy.
  • Spoiled by the Format: The series has long been advertised as a five-part spectacle. Because of this, no-one in the audience is buying the Anti-Monitor's death at the Spectre's hands at the end of this episode.
  • Unexpected Character: Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, hands down. The red tape policy between movies and TV at WarnerMedia didn't give much hopes of having multiverse crossovers previously, hence the total surprise. It was kept under wraps so well that not even the Arrowverse cast outside of Grant Gustin knew this was happening.
