YMMV / Amphibia S3E05 "Adventures in Catsitting"

• Funny Moments:
  • Hop Pop's reaction to realizing that the Plantars are now, by his definition of the word, freeloaders.
  • Hop Pop's default excuse to get out of bad situations (a line Anne gave him, saying it was code for "I'm human"): "Boy, I could use some coffee!"
  • The Plantars harassing the poor vet.
  • To get Hop Pop to be quiet while Sprig calls Mr. Boonchuy for backup, Polly shoves him in Domino's cage.
  • Polly wants to adopt a possum she found in a bush, and gets upset when Hop Pop says no.
  Polly (upset): Aw, but his face is frozen in a terrible smile!
  • Hop Pop's dramatic statement that they may have to give their lives to get Domino out of the restaurant...only for the kids to point out that there are a thousand easier ways to do that.
  • Anne on painkillers. Apparently, she's so wacky when on those that her parents are happy to let the Plantars babysit her until she's sober again.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Anne's comments about Domino while high from pain killers is much funnier/cooler after watching the Grand Finale.
• Heartwarming: Despite the Boonchuys acting semi-uncomfortable/annoyed with the Plantars at times (which is understandable, as they kind of had their daughter reappear with three guests from another dimension), Mr. Boonchuy reveals just how much they owe the Plantars:
  Mr. Boonchuy: You three took my daughter into your home when she needed it most. You kept her fed and safe for five months just out of the kindness of your hearts! You will never owe us anything. Ever.
  • Becomes a bit of a Tearjerker moment when you realize how scared and worried Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy were during the time Anne was gone, and learning when she got back that she was not only in another world, but one where she's surrounded by dangerous animals, plants, and bad people (er, frogs), and would have likely been killed if the Plantars hadn't taken her in.
