YMMV / Alvarez Rewrite

Go To

  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • In Chapter 40 of Alvarez Rewrite, Irene Belserion imbues everyone from Fairy Tail and their allies and the Four Gods of Ishgar with Dragon Slayer Magic that will allow them to actually damage Acnologia. In 100 Years Quest, there is Diabolos, a Guild of 5th Generation Dragon Slayers whose modus operandi is to kill Dragons or Dragon Slayers and consume them for their powers. Unless the power up was temporary, the Mages of Ishgar might have to deal with Diabolos coming after them.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In Chapter 2 of Alvarez Rewrite, God Serena and Gildarts Clive were revealed to be lifelong rivals over the title of Ishgar's strongest Mage. In 100 Years Quest, God Serena (who was revived as an Alchemical Doll and joined Gold Owl) states that he is stronger than Gildarts during his encounter with Gajeel Redfox.
    • In Chapter 38 of Alvarez Rewrite, God Serena reveals his four other elements of Dragon Slayer Magic: Forest (wood), Thunder (lightning), Volcanic (magma), and Glaciar (ice). In 100 Years Quest, the said four other elements were actually Diamond (stone), Spark (light), Lightning and Darkness.
    • In Chapter 40, after being empowered by Irene granting them Dragon Slayer Magic, Juvia uses Water Dragon, Warrod uses Forest Dragon and Jura uses Rock Dragon. In 100 Years Quest, there are Dragons with said elements existed: Mercphobia the Water Dragon God, Aldoron the Wood Dragon God and Dogramag the Earth Dragon God.
    • In Chapter 42 of Alvarez Rewrite, Natsu can transform into a Dragon in the likeness of Igneel to gain the upper hand against Acnologia. In 100 Years Quest, Ignia the Fire Dragon God happened to share the similar appearance of his biological father Igneel albeit with menacing spikes.
    • In Chapters 43 and 44 of Alvarez Rewrite, Irene Belserion takes over the Alvarez Empire as its new ruler at the end of the war. In 100 Years Quest, it is Ajeel Raml who becomes the new leader instead.
