• Accidental Innuendo:
  Prince Valentijn: [To Kiki who's wearing a costume as a wrapped present] So is someone going to unwrap this present tonight?
  Kiki: No, I'm afraid I'm going to have to do that myself...
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • When Tom van Ophorst scoffs at Alicia over the phone, she abruptly hangs up on him, upon which Tom goes into a fit molesting the phone, which results in him dropping dead of a heart attack. Of course, he was treating Alicia rudely so it's understandable she hang up, but him dropping dead from it seems a Disproportionate Retribution.
  • Also, the last conversation Tom has with his daughter Klaasje ends with her yelling at him "You're a jerk, Dad!" and hanging up on him. Harsher as he later drops dead, and that is the last thing she ever said to her father...
