YMMV / Algo habrán hecho por la historia argentina

  • Awesome Music: The version of the Argentine national anthem used for the entry is really epic. See here for a version without Pergolini's narration on top.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: The documentary starts in 1806, the British invasions to the Rio de la Plata (an event that directly leads into the war of independence). There are centuries of history before that point: the indigenous tribes that populated the area, the advanced outposts of the Inca Empire, the discovery of the Rio de la Plata, the cities and military garrisons established by Spain (some of them overru and then built again), the conflicts of Spain and Portugal over the limits of their territories, the upgrade of the region to viceroyalty, etc. Pigna said that they would skip all that because "the first episode must have some action". The Chilean version, Algo habrán hecho por la historia de Chile, does start from the beginning, but says a similar thing. Their solution? A generic malón of mapuches attacking the guys for 10 seconds, and then they proceed with the story.
