• Fan-Preferred Couple: A lot of readers prefer that Remilia ends up with Emi instead of Angel due to the fact that Remilia's devotion to Emi is what started everything. Though some accept it with stride due to rationalizing that Emi would love to have the two Tragic Villain's of the original "Star Maiden" game to be happy together.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Remilia's sheer hatred for Pina or at least, the reincarnated one behind the wheel, is so utterly and completely delirious at times that beneath the Stepford Smiler, she borders on downright Ax-Crazy. The manga especially highlights this with the visual equivalent of Room Full of Crazy inside her own thoughts, as she relishes in every new step she takes for her vengeance; it practically tips the adaptation straight into psychological horror were this not the protagonist's viewpoint without an actual tinge of falsities to it.
  • The corrupted creator of the world is just straight up Eldritch Abomination tier horror that would be unnerving in any story.
• Tearjerker:
  • The condemnation event that sends Emi into a coma and causes Remilia to take over. Prior to the event, the story tells of Emi trying to make Remilia's life and reputation better by helping the various love interests with their problems. They turn out to be easily-manipulated, ungrateful bastards who let Pina ruin Emi's efforts and send her into such emotional and psychological despair that she shuts down. In the manga, this is presented as Emi's distraught, heartbroken face and then an entire pitch-black page. She just turns off completely.
