YMMV / Aim for the Ace!

• Les Yay: Unintentional, but still there. Boy, Hiromi really admires Reika.
  • And boy, are the girls in the school wet for Reika too.
• Moe: One of the original "cute girls doing things" series, and every single player featured is, well, a cute teenager. Hiromi's a prime example, especially when her determination shows.
• Narm Charm: Yeah, it's very cheesy. Even for shoujo. But if it wasn't cheesy, it wouldn't be half as awesome.
• Periphery Demographic: The show is surprisingly popular amongst men as well (many of which had childhood crushes on either Hiromi or some of the other tennis players). One well known fan happens to be Hideaki Anno, who directed a famous (to the point of Parody Displacement, even) mecha parody, GunBuster.
• Retroactive Recognition: Kotono Mitsuishi made her debut in episode 6 Final Stage as Tomoyo, she would of course become a voice acting superstar 3 years later thanks to a certain odango haired magical girl.
