YMMV / A Girl on the Shore

Go To

  • Audience-Alienating Premise: It's a story about young teenagers engaging in a casual Friends with Benefits relationship. That premise alone will turn quite a few people, and those who stay will likely be turned off by how bleak it is.
  • Nausea Fuel: Explicit underage sex aside, Koume and Keisuke eventually engage in Coprophilia, which is only barely censored.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: A frequent criticism of many Inio Asano works, which also applies here. Koume and Isobe are both pretty terrible to each other, leading many readers to give up before the ending.
