YMMV / A Flintstones Christmas Carol

Go To

  • Harsher in Hindsight: Bamm-Bamm is cast as Tiny Tim in the play. Outside a few commercials, this would be Don Messick's final performance as Bamm-Bamm, with his career-ending stroke and subsequent death occurring just three years after the film aired on television.
  • Heartwarming Moments: During the past segment, Wilma has taken over for Belle’s actress who fell ill. When Fred as Scrooge proposes, Wilma gets so excited that she accidentally says Fred’s name instead of Scrooge’s name.
  • He Really Can Act: John Stephenson as Mr. Slate, whose portrayal of Jacob "Marbley" is utterly chilling and filled with despair, while Jean Vander Pyl as Wilma captures a magnificent level of angst as both Belle and the Ghost of Christmas Past in her anger and sadness over Fred's selfish attitude. When Fred (as Scrooge) claims he loved "Belle," Wilma's delivery of "But you loved money and yourself, more!" is heartbreaking.
