"A egg!" (No, that's not a misprint, he really did say that.)
Tweet Tweet Tweety is a 1951 Looney Tunes cartoon starring Tweety Bird and Sylvester the cat.

In this short, Sylvester is in a national forest when he finds an egg in a bird's nest and decides to hatch it out—and when the egg hatches, out crawls Tweety.

Tropes

  • Gory Discretion Shot: Sylvester is trying to get to Tweety with a swing, but unbeknownst to him, the swing is perilously close to a pile driver. The camera cuts back and forth between Sylvester swinging forward towards Tweety and swinging back to the pile driver, until the swing comes forward empty.
Tweety: I wonder where that putty tat went?
Sylvester: [back on the swing, Squashed Flat] Does this answer your question?
  • Inevitable Waterfall: Sylvester is on a rowboat when it goes over an open lock in the reservoir dam. He manages to row up the waterfall, and is about to reach safety when Tweety decides to "help" by closing the lock, leaving Sylvester rowing in midair before dropping like a stone.
  • Old Faithful: Tweety hides in a geyser that will erupt at 12:00 and a clock at the sign reads 11:55. Sylvester pulls the hand back to 11:30 and goes after him. Tweety comes out of a different hole near the sign and pulls the hands of the clock at 12 and the geyser lifts Sylvester in the air.
  • Pain-Powered Leap: Tweety uses a safety pin to get Sylvester, who is unaware that he's already hatched the egg, off him.
  • Variations on a Theme Song: Tweety sings a different version of his Leitmotif ("Sweet Little Bird in a Gilded Cage") since he is up in a tree.
