A two part T.I.E (Total Immersion Event) on Toonami that aired on March 2022 to celebrate the block's 25th anniversary. It's the ninth TIE of the series.

  • Contemplate Our Navels: The short opens with TOM still curious what the Forge was made for and if he came from it.
  • Continuity Nod: Several:
    • TOM doesn't believe the Absolution's returned, citing the ship's destruction 19 years prior in the Toonami Endgame webcomic.
    • Sara enters the ship's computer to confirm its identity, triggering a message from Sara's original incarnation. TOM even mistakes it for the ship reverting Sara back to her old self before she identifies her counterpart as a "phantom echo" of her original AI core. Sara then states that her other self, dubbed Sara 1.0, is looping old data.
    • The message Sara 1.0 is looping shares 2-3 lines from the original Intruder event. note
  • Meaningful Name: While the title sounds ominous, it actually has a twofold meaning. 1) The (or rather, a) Absolution has returned to our duo for them to use after a year of being stuck on a space station and 2) it's the return back to form to the original series with TOM and Sara traveling through space while showing anime.
  • No Antagonist: No threats in this one, Tom and Sara just find an empty ship with no one even on it and take it for themselves.
  • Revisiting the Roots: To the extreme, the T.I.E essentially gives the duo back their original ship so they can explore the cosmos once more while doing their broadcasts.
  • Sequel Hook: It's unknown where this Absolution came from considering that, y'know, it was destroyed 19 years ago. With the most explanation is that it's some kinda temporal copy albeit with some upgrades outfitted for it. Why it was unmanned though is left up in the air.
  • Wham Line:
    • While looking over the log, Sara finds some surprising information.
Sara: It's..temporal. Internal timestamps confirm this ship is from two hundred fifty years in the future!
    • As well as this shortly after
Tom: Umm... Sara... This ship is moving. We're pulling away from the Forge.
Sara: The intergalactic broadcast vessel is embarking on its mission. It's been hard-coded into the navi computer. And it's call sign has been changed to...the Absolution Mk. 14.
  • Wham Shot: The ship the duo find? It's the Absolution, the original Absolution from the third rendition of the block (If the Outlaw Star and Tenchi Muyo! clips on the monitors are anything to go by). As well as a glitched video of Sara citing an intruder.
