TRS, chained sinkhole

The website hosts three adventures, each of which begin with a protagonist finding themselves in a strange place. In RoundRobin fashion, the story then branches out into paragraphs written collectively by Internet users. The original intention was to see what kind of a story would come out of this. We'll spoil it for you: the results are utter madness.

Correcting, as Choose Your Own Adventure is now a disambig between the genre (Gamebooks) and the book series.

Addventure is a collaborative RoundRobin ChooseYourOwnAdventure website. It started life in 1988 as a BBS program by Allen S. Firstenberg and was ported to the Web in 1994. It has been inactive since 2000, but strangely has managed to stay online. And they've recently created a Google+ profile and linked to it on the site, so evidently the authors still take care of the place.

->The place is deep, dark, and mysterious. This is wrong. All wrong. It wasn't supposed to be like this.

->But you have no choice now, do you? No choice but the staircase in front of you.

* ArchivePanic: These adventures are big. How big? Games 2 and 3 have 41119 and 35253 pages, respectively.
