A lone FBI agent teams up with a sheriff, his deputy and a Navajo cop while investing a mysterious body that is linked to a long string of killings. He must navigate through the small-town landscape while hiding the fact that he is not acting on behalf of the bureau... all while keeping his face-blindness a secret from the Sheriff.
He will soon discover that he’s not the only one keeping secrets.
This webcomic provides examples of:
- Art Shift: Panels seen from Fink's POV have everyone's face highly simplified to reflect his prosopagnosia.
- Bilingual Bonus: Spanish and Navajo frequently appear due to the setting.
- Embarrassing First Name: Sheriff Terrence Logan.
- Embarrassing Hobby: Fink doesn't think there's anything wrong with his bird watching, but the people around him are often incredulous that he enjoys an "old ladies'" hobby and poke fun at him.
- In-Series Nickname: Fink for Agent Ink, a Portmanteau of his first and last name, Franklin Ink.
- Jerkass: Russ, the officer who's always playing pranks on Luca and making culturally insensitive comments.
- Little Green Men: Appear in some of Fink's dreams. And in his hotel room.
- Office Sports: Downplayed. Fink and Robbins throw a basketball back and forth a bit in the office, and apparently some of the FBI agents get together off hours to play actual games.
- Silent Scenery Panel: Lovely establishing shots of the desert are a staple.
- Sinister Southwest: The story primarily takes place in the mysterious deserts of Arizona.
- Skin Walker: Nate's grandmother accuses people of being this.
- Spicy Latina: Luca, the Comms Lady at Rocket Ridge Sheriff's Office.
