The Artifice Flies Again!
is an ongoing CGI webcomic by Dr. Pingas. It tells the story of Hunter and Ros Edevane, two air truckers who can't seem to stop getting in trouble with the local slaver syndicate. The setting is a floating colony circling the acidic, terrestrial world of Cypris, a society obsessed with novelty religions, genetic experiments and war.
Tropes in this webcomic include:
- Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: Hunter hits the bottle frequently, and pays dearly for it.
- Fanservice: Hunter and Ros are in the habit of dressing provocatively. Allegedly, it's a tactic to distract their pursuers.
- Full-Frontal Assault: Hunter, Ros and even Annie can't seem to keep their clothes on during a fight.
- Sprite Comic: While not a conventional "sprite comic", it uses a video game in the creative process.
