It Was All You is a Korean Webtoon by SOON KI and OH5HO that is based on the Web Novel of the same name by Jake Lee.

Dr. Yuri Lee is a researcher at XYZ Corporation tasked with testing the new prototype clone, named Victor. Victor is designed to love his master, and Yuri starts to feel the same, although she knows he will be destroyed after the testing period. All the while, she is pondering the death of her child and her husband's infidelity. These turn out to be the least of her problems, as everything is not what it seems.

Beware of unmarked spoilers!

It Was All You provides examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg:
    • Yujin's father loses his legs in an explosion, leading him to found XYZ company for prosthetics and clones.
    • Noel loses his legs in a targeted attack that kills Minho.
  • Artificial Limbs: Yujin's father founded XYZ company after he lost his legs to specialize in prosthetic limbs. Noel later gets prosthetic legs after he's attacked by Yujin.
  • Cain and Abel: Yujin resents her half-brother Noel and tries to get him killed multiple times.
  • Came Back Wrong: After Minho dies saving Noel, he is recreated, but he is unable to see Noel as anything but a master.
  • Clone Angst: Yuri is devastated to learn that she's a clone of Victor's deceased lover and wonders if he loves her because she looks like the original Yuri.
  • Clones Are People, Too: Several characters make no distinction between clones and humans and want to remove the blockers in the clones' brains to make them free. By the end, they are working to prove that clones have souls.
  • Fake Memories: Yuri's entire backstory is a fabrication created to give her the desire to kill. She's actually the clone of a flight attendant who died in a terrorist attack.
  • Kill and Replace: The president is killed by his clone, who takes his place to sign the martial law that he opposed.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: Yuri accuses Jennie of having an affair with her husband. It's actually Yuri's best friend who is cheating.
  • Mixed Ancestry Is Attractive: Minho is a mix of Spanish and Korean, which gives him distinct eyes that Noel admires.
  • Posthumous Character: Noel was Yuri's lover before she got married; he left to be part of a space colony but is now deceased. Then it turns out Yuri's backstory is fake and Noel is alive all along.
  • Preserve Your Gays: Noel is frequently at risk of being killed off but can't really die because of his special connection. Minho, as a love clone, can be remade if needed. During the escape, they are said to be Killed Offscreen but soon arrive to bail out Victor. At the end of season 1, Minho dies pushing Noel out of an exploding car, and Noel is presumably gunned down. Noel turns out to have survived, albeit without his legs, and Minho is recreated but not quite himself, though he makes an effort. Ultimately, they both survive to the end.
  • Someone to Remember Him By:
    • Yuri's son, Noel, is named after her lover who went off to a colony in space but died. This son died at the hands of her current husband.
    • Yuri gets pregnant with Victor's (and Yujin's) child, but Victor dies killing Yujin. The child is present in the epilogue.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: Yuri believed herself to be a researcher testing the clone Victor, but she's actually the clone and Victor is human.
  • Three Laws-Compliant: The clones are programmed with three laws that make them obedient to humans and prevent them from hurting them.
  • Title Drop: As Yuri prepares to shoot Victor while they are cornered by Yujin, she tells Victor, "In the end, it was all you."
