In a future time, the current incarnation of Ganondorf successfully killed the Link he was pitted against...and ruled Hyrule as a ''good king.'' Decades passed without incident, and it seemed the cycle had been broken.
But then his daughter, the princess, is named Zelda. And she later befriends a [[GenderFlip girl]] named Link, and Demise is returning to power.
