Friendship Is Tragic
is the title of an imageboard-based Interactive Comic set in the world of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. It is currently finished, having begun on December 12, 2015, and ending on January 4, 2017. No relation to the MLP fanfic with the same name.
In this CYOA, we follow the misadventures of Holiday Special, a reclusive and hotheaded mare who spends most of her time hiding from or lashing out at the world. But in the land of friendship and harmony, this can be quite problematic...
Tropes:
- Brick Joke: Early on, she gets the Cutie Mark Crusaders to buy a couch from her to put in their clubhouse, but she's soon arrested for unrelated matters and the matter is quickly forgotten. She finally delivers it in the final pages, after the main ending.
- Jerkass: Holiday Special's introduction involves beating the living crap out of her mailpony. She doesn't improve from there.
- Misanthrope Supreme: Holiday Special is a toymaker that loves Hearth's Warming. She is also verbally and physically abusive to those that get in her way, wonders why "dirt ponies" are given factory jobs when magic makes everything easier, drinks a ton of whiskey, learns to cast Sombra-esque dark magic...
