''[[http://everblue-comic.com/ Everblue]]'' is a fantasy/adventure webcomic by Michael Sexton, set in an [[SingleBiomePlanet endless ocean]] sparsely populated by a few floating cities. Luna, an introverted young shipwright, was leading a quiet life in Rose City until Ten's [[CoolBoat flying boat]] was accidentally shot down and she is roped into helping him build a new one.
----
!!This webcomic provides examples of:
* ActionGirl: Luna was raised in a military academy and is perfectly capable of defending herself.
* {{Adorkable}}: Ten. Luna to an extent.
* AfterTheEnd: Maybe... there are certainly ancient cities sunken under the ocean.
* AllThereInTheManual: Among the [[http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.146082622097312.22883.146078468764394 old voting incentives]], a small (temporarily offline) wiki and comments under each new page, a lot of background information about the world has already been explained.
* ArcSymbol: "Black Candle" emblems can be seen on flags, banners, and even peoples' clothing in the background of certain pages. No official explanation has been given as to what these symbols mean, though WordOfGod says they are important.
* ArtEvolution: Not so drastic as some other webcomics, but the comic switches from black and white to color within the first few pages, and the shading gets more detailed later on.
* BadassAdorable: When Luna finds out a guard is in her house, what does she do? Throws her bed sheet at the guy and hits him with an iron pipe. [[spoiler:However it turns out to be Seta ordered by Shar to kill her]].
* BandageMummy: Clara, although it's not used for dramatic or comedic effect.
* TheBartender: [[http://everblue-comic.com/comic?sort=107 Lampshaded]]
* BlindSeer: Clara. She might not actually be blind but [[BlindfoldedVision all the bandages she wears can't make it easy to see.]]
* BookDumb: Ten can't read.
* CoolBoat: The Skyward, Ten modified it so it can fly. It becomes even cooler after Luna gets her hands on it and outfits it with forbidden ancient technology.
* DarkerAndEdgier: [[http://everblue-comic.com/comic?sort=195 The cover for Chapter 4]], in contrast to the cute and lighthearted covers from previous chapters, seems to indicate that parts of its story will be going in this direction.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Dagger wears a pair of shin guards but nothing on her actual feet. Luna has shown a preference for going barefoot indoors or on a ship, but will usually wear sandals when she's both outdoors and on dry land. Except for the time she was stuck as a PajamaCladHero for a while, but being barefoot wasn't exactly her choice there.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Dagger, who hasn't appeared in the story proper yet, can be seen on wanted posters in the background, and was featured at the end of Vignette 3. Clara also appears in a crowd scene a page before her official introduction.
* EtTuBrute: [[spoiler: Seta... or so Luna thinks. It's actually a subversion, as Seta is faking betrayal to make *sure* Luna escapes and abandons him.]]
* FuroScene: Luna has a rather tasteful one with surprisingly little fanservice.
* HardWorkMontage: Used when rebuilding Ten's boat.
* HeroesWantRedHeads: Luna's hair is a pretty shade of red and Ten clearly has a crush on her, so this trope seems to be in effect.
* IconicItem: Luna's red ribbon and Ten's bandanna.
* IdiotHero: Ten, though he's not so much an idiot as naive and happy-go-lucky to an unhealthy degree
* InnocentFanserviceBoy: When Luna seems distressed about walking through a city in her pajamas, Ten gets the bright idea of giving her his clothes, going so far as to immediately start undressing on the spot before Luna stops him.
* KnightOfCerebus: Whenever General Shar is around, things get a lot more dramatic.
* LostTechnology: unfortunately messing with it is punishable by death
* MeaningfulName: Ten can mean "Heaven" and he owns a ship that flies.
* MementoMacGuffin: Ten's Traveler's Chart, a magical map of the world that's blank until it gets wet, is a legacy of his father.
** Luna's ribbon, which she usually wears wrapped around her bicep, wrist or forearm when she isn't using it to tie back her hair.
* MsFanservice: [[spoiler:Dagger]]. Luna in some scenes although hers are more modest.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Luna, after being [[spoiler: attacked by Seta]] is hiding in the back of [[TheBartender Gregor]]'s inn to which she says "Oh Gods what have I done?"
* OceanPunk: The main setting. Dry land is just a myth.
* OrphansOrdeal: Luna and Ten are both orphans
* PajamaCladHero: Luna in [[http://everblue-comic.com/comic?sort=130 Chapter 3]] during a rainstorm, which results in a SexySoakedShirt.
* ThePollyanna: Ten. [[http://everblue-comic.com/comic?sort=158 Tragically optimistic]].
* TrainingMontage: Luna learning swordplay from Seta, seen in a flashback.
* RefusalOfTheCall: Luna
** TheCallKnowsWhereYouLive: until she is forced to throw in her lot with Ten
* SadisticChoice: Given to [[spoiler: Seta]] by General Shar: [[spoiler: either kill Luna or refuse the order and let someone else do it. It seems he was trying option 3 of taking the mission but letting her escape, which probably won't go well for him...]]
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Dagger is a highly skilled mercenary who fights [[DoesNotLikeShoes barefoot]] wearing only a bikini top, some kind of skirt or loincloth, and a pair of shin guards that she probably only wears because they have attached sheaths for her two knives and she's got nowhere else to keep them.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: [[http://everblue-comic.com/comic?sort=33 Luna isn't singing banned songs,]] nope no singing here!
* UnderwaterRuins: Luna has explored the "city core" which is underwater and completely off-limits.
* WrenchWench: Luna is a shipwright (boat builder), which is this setting's equivalent.
