Transformers: Ascension are a series of Transformers Fan Films put out by Crosshairs Productions.

Starting in 2015 with the film Broken Mirror and continuing on with follow-up series Transformers: Ascension, the series follows the journey of the heroic Decepticon Treadshot (of the Shattered Glass universe) who finds himself hurled into a universe of heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons.

In addition to the main series that follows Treadshot and others, there are other installments that flesh out the history of the universe. Collectively the series is all referred to as "The Ascensionverse''.

This Series Provides Examples Of;

  • Adaptation Amalgamation: As it's not set in any pre-existing universe, the series mashes up several elements from other Transformers properties. Most notably from the IDW comics.
  • Alternate Continuity: This series is not set in any pre-existing Transformers series but rather it's own.
  • Arc Words: Tredshot: “I accept the burden! With all that I am!”
  • BFG: The Terminus shard Megatron uses to upgrade himself does this to his already impressive fusion canon. Now it's able to one-shot massive Transformers such as Omega Supreme.
  • Big Bad: SG!Optimus Prime for Broken Mirror
  • Great Escape: The first season of Ascension opens up with the Decepticons, led by Black Shadow and Lockdown, launching an assault on Garrus-9 to breakout out Megatron.
  • Killed Off for Real: The main Ascension series hasn't been afraid to kill off popular mainstays from the main franchise such as Starscream, Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, and Optimus Prime in the first season alone.
  • Mirror Universe: Where Treadshot hails from, though from his perspective he's in a mirror universe.
  • Prequel: Target - Alpha Trion, Nightmare Planet, the Earthfall, and Ascensionverse films and shorts are set prior to the events of the Treadshot-focused Broken Mirror and Ascension
  • Stop Motion: As is common with Transformers fan films, all the Transformers are represented via their actual toys. Humans are represented by custom Lego figures.
